In as much as this YouTube video is so funny there's actually a reason behind the birds aren't real movement. You may think the people that believe it are just being ridiculous but they have strong basis for their arguments.
Back in 2017, a guy named Peter McIndoe kicked off this idea to say that all the birds in America are actually spy drones. He started it with an idea and some signs in Memphis, but the theory looks pretty outrageous in that it claims the government is using drones disguised as birds to observe us without our knowledge. The theory goes that from 1959 to 1972, all birds were replaced with drones by the government, creating a network of surveillance devices that sit on power lines to recharge their batteries.
But my way to defend the idea if I was at gun point asked to do so is that, there has been plenty of history of using birds for espionage purposes. For example, during World War One, an inventor named Julius Neubronner fitted pigeons with tiny cameras so they could fly over enemy positions and record aerial photography for military intelligence purposes. These birds were serious tools in the air.
Adding to that backstory, in the 1970's, the CIA attempted to train ravens and crows to carry audio listening devices, Project Acoustic Kitty.
The reason the CIA used corvids for this operation is that they are intelligent enough to land on a perch like your window, drop a microphone and fly away without you ever knowing they existed.
And now to the present time, China has developed drones that look exactly like doves in the way they fly, and you wouldn't be able to know from the ground because of their design.

So what I'm trying to say is, the whole concept of Birds Aren't Real may be more than just an idea about birds, but maybe also includes things above us that we cannot see but have stopped questioning. I'm not sure if this was what Peter McIndoe had in mind with this campaign. But it does raise the question of what else is watching us when we aren't aware of it.
