Most people rush into marriage, only to find out about their genotype and then things turn sour for them. Except in cases where God purposely match two people together with such sickness and only by miracle would they overcome, I don't advise people to just continue in such relationship when they just find out they are sickle cell carriers.

Even at that it would be better for them to put their faith and make sure it changes before marriage because the stress that comes with marriage can sometimes test/mare ones faith. I won't really advise anyone to get married when their genotype hasn't changed even if they have faith
Two of my cousins were both and met guys that were as, they prayed and trusted God for a miracle, their genotypes changed from as to ss before they got married.
