Yesterday being Sunday came with its usual rhythm. As always, I started the day by going to church. The moment I stepped in, my cousin’s little boy ran to me and practically claimed me for himself. From that point, I couldn’t get a chance to sit quietly. He was all over me, clinging, chatting, and making sure I didn’t rest.
After the service ended, he made up his mind that he was following me home. At first, I tried to talk him out of it, but the boy was determined. He cried, begged, and refused to leave my side. At that point, I had no choice but to carry him along.
When we got home, his energy didn’t reduce one bit. He wanted to play and then demanded that I take him to the playground. Since it wouldn’t have been fair to take only him, I had to go and get his brother as well. Of course, that meant my role as “big sister” came with extra responsibilities and extra spending.
At the playground, they were so full of life, running, laughing, and playing with other children. Watching them made me happy too because their joy was so pure. But as you can imagine, the real struggle came when it was time to go. They didn’t want to leave at all! I started begging, “please, let’s go,” but my little cousin cried before finally following me home.
When I dropped him off, he still didn’t want me to leave. He held on to me and kept saying I should stay with them. In the end, I had to escape quietly before he noticed. 😂
Kids can be exhausting, but at the same time, they make me played, I haven’t played in a long time😂😂
