destiny is a plan written about a person on earth

This leaves me with many questions. So, is it already written whether someone is going to be good or evil, a murderer or murdered? How do we know what our destiny is? How do we know if we're fulfilling the plan, or no matter what we do, everything is already written and therefore we're always fulfilling our destiny?
