St.Petersburg. Raining here since 1703, as the townsperson used to joke here. (1703 is the year the city was founded). Currently I experience a cold rainy week without any pause and gap in the clouds... A lot of great (though monotonous) subjects for a cameramen, if he is not lazy and dont afraid to accept all the moisture risks.
All of these captured were done at the palace square, during my recent visit to the International Book Saloon.
Animators dressed in XVII century costumes. They ask some crazy money for posing. That is definitely not 'a labour of love' ...
This frame I like a lot, and sending it for #Photofeed #Streetphoto weekly challenge. This pair is driven by a faint hope to cover themselves from the rain falling down on their heads - but it is impossible to escape from the inevitable water, you know - water always finds its way even to those who is armed with an umbrella! And the thinnest silk scarf is simply out of the question. Brave, fearless, naive people. Respect!
Happy Hermitage State museum visitors. Happy -cause, huh, they had prudently stocked up on umbrellas in advance. They have the right to smile now and be not afraid of the rain!
Spectators do not scatter away from the scene.
Rain, or shine... but the job is the job!
And the last one... cant say it beats everything else, but the moment I captured... sounds like Cartie Bresson's ultimate click. This man did not equip himself with umbrella; the only thing left to do is to look at the sky and wait for the sky to clear. "How much longer?!?!... - his eyes said to me.
😉
Thanks for walking with me! see you next time.
