My Actifit Report Card: June 23 2025

Had a great birthday today with my wife and kids. Morning started with pineapple pancakes that my eleven year old daughter made 😀

We visited one of our favorite restaurants: Vons 1000 Spirits. There, I had a Scratch Manhattan for $8.99, and their made from scratch pasta. Our son ordered a four meat pizza, and our daughter also had pasta.

There was a display of premium drinks. One of the drinks on the handwritten wall menu was a Cognac for $1,600 per glass. I looked up and that Cognac goes for $120,000 a bottle online. I guess that is a drink for those who have everything 😀

I don't need that or a Lamborghini, I just want to be happy and healthy. I had a wonderful 49th birthday thanks to the great people around me.

Totally, that is a completely frivolous spending in my opinion. Though if I were a Cognac aficionado maybe it would have been worth it to try once in a lifetime.

I just mentioned it because they sat us down in front of that menu on the wall and the big wall case of special bottles.

I don't care about that particular prize, but it was interesting to see in our local normal restaurant. Family and good time together was the real prize.
