Part of the adventure of hiking in the Mountains, is following new trails!😊
Sometimes Silvertop will even “cut” a new trail through the dense underbrush, when I have a specific destination in mind!😇
Today Silvertop was looking for the source of our t-Mobile Internet signal……..
The Phoenix cell tower!😊
I followed the well beaten network of hiking trails, that circled the Mountain top, climbing slowly higher and higher!😅
I knew I was heading in the right direction, I just wasn’t sure how much further uphill I needed to hike!😊
Silvertop continued onward……………..
Hiking is easy on established trails,
and occasionally you will pass a fellow hiker……
No worries about getting lost, you can easily backtrack, and it’s all downhill from here Lol!😇
Once before, Liz, our friend Jan, and Silvertop hiked to the Phoenix cell tower, it took several hours each way!😅
Today Silvertop spent most of the morning cutting and splitting more firewood, so I had a late start on this quest!☺️
When I finally reached the end of the well beaten down hiking path, I stopped…………😮
Do you remember the “trick” Silvertop talked about, where you hold up your four fingers to the Sun, and count how many fingers, till you touch the horizon with your fingers……….
Each finger represents 15 minutes till sundown!😎
Hmmm……… this isn’t good, Silvertop is runout of daylight fast!🙄

Another day, another hike, the days are getting longer and longer!😎
Silvertop called today’s hike, and headed back downhill, and home!☺️
Better safe, than sorry my friends, the Mountains will be here tomorrow!😇
