Blimey, I played this in 2010 when released. I had just abandoned the X360 due to too many red rings of death and moved to the PS3. It looks so dated now, but I have good memories of it.
It's dated, but the story and writing is still top-notch. Recently, I have been going back to the older titles on the PS2 and 360, and I think many of the games from those eras are far better than many of the newer titles coming out. Especially the 360, from 2006-2013, that was definitely the golden age of gaming.
It's super replayable still I think, but yeah - it suffers from the same dated feel as the original Fable does. I remember really liking the cartoony characters in that and now it just looks... well, I guess, typical for the era it was made in lol.
I won't hear such blasphemy. Fable 1 is top-notch, even today. I went back and replayed the lost chapters recently, and it still holds up; sure, it's a bit dated, but that just adds to the charm. I have played the anniversary remake for the 360 (I think), and it actually does a pretty good job of updating it.
I miss Peter Molyneux giving his interviews about the upcoming titles, and absolutely lying. You could almost hear the devs panicking every time he opened his mouth
Oh it's definitely still very replayable. My boy and I played through a good chunk of the original one a year or so ago and had a blast!
