Mono Monday old and new
Good Morning, as I tend to do, starting the week with a few Mono shots, some new and some from last year
But before getting to them, I want to first say I hope you had a good weekend and wish you a good week ahead
Although I am feeling a lot better, and could handle going out for photo walks with my camera bag as long as I do not overload it.
I dont know if its age or the fact withthe stomach issues, surgery and recovery, I havent bene out and about much, but when I have gone out recently I have really felt the cold getting into my bones, only once to be honest did I load up ( lightly) my camera bag and theink about going for a walk outdoors, but within a couple of minutes out of the car and the wind I just didnt feel like staying out any more.
But I have taken as the title suggests some new photos, all be it playing around in the basement and will start the post with a new photo

I will do a post about these type of shots with some in color, and as I am typing this I realize I should have taken a photo of the setup, which I will try and do before sharing the color ones.
But this is pretty simple actually, just a sheet of glass sitting on top of some cans, with a tablet underneath the glass, setting up the camera on a tripod above it, then adding a few drops of water on the glass
then, focusing on the refracted image in the drops.
I say fairly simple but getting the lights i have at the right angle, and gettign the focus just right is a challenge but a fun one
Now I realise the camera must have been slightly at an off angle with one drop not showing the image, or perhaps its because its a bigger drop,
I will try doing this again and seeing if I cna do better after a couple of other ideas I have for shots in the basement
Now for the older shots, this next one is in the Historic District here in New Bedford

I always get shots of this building when I am in that area and pass by it, for two reasons its a cool building, and is the JJ Best Banc building and most people call me JJ
this next one i am out on the pier i often visit
