Early morning visits to Mattapoisett MA
To those in the United States, Enjoy your 4th of July weekend and be safe out there
Mine will be pretty quiet. I was in a vehicle accident yesterday. Some guy plowed into the side of my car, I am OK, but a bit achy and run down today after being outside for longer than I planned for an hour or so waiting for police and a tow truck to take my car away.
Recently, I have made two or three visits to Mattapoisett, MA, a place not too far from where I live, and visited a few spots, of course, the Lighthouse that I have shared photos of before, but other spots and places that I thought were cool, and that's what I will share today.
Starting with this photo from a walk on the rail trail, although strictly speaking I am off the rail trail for this one, and on the beach, the rail trail you can see above me off to the left of the photo, I popped off it and down to the beach for a little bit.
This is a spot I often head to when I walk the trail, especially when there are some nice sunrise colors and to catch some reflections, which I love to catch

And of course, one visit was to Neds Point. I do love lighthouses, and with the lights on around the walkway by the light, it was looking so cool that morning, especially with some nice sunrise colors as a backdrop

And another favorite spot is Shipyard Park, which I stopped by after catching some sunrise shots at one of the other spots, and when I go there, I have to get a shot of this gazebo. It was quite breezy that morning, so you may notice some motion blur in the trees and on the decorations on the gazebo.

Now, one thing I had not done there, I think, was actually walk out of the park/wharf area and walk down the street a bit. I did this time and got shots of a couple of cool buildings, including this one, which caught my eye, some sort of spa, the blue door and shutters are what caught my eye

And the Town Wharf general store, which I decided to go with a MOnochrome edit of
