With Aston Villa reportedly showing serious interest in signing him, it's hard not to connect the dots. Even though, nothing has been confirmed yet, but leaving a player out of a major pre-season tour usually gets fans talking.
I will be honest, Jackson's time at Chelsea has been a bit of a rollercoaster. There were games where he looked sharp, full of energy, and always willing to work hard for the team. Then there were other matches where his finishing let him down and fans were left frustrated. That's football, though. Not every player settles in immediately, especially at a club where expectations are so much high.
One thing I can never question is his effort. Whether he scored or not, Jackson always seemed ready to chase defenders, press from the front, and give everything he had. Sometimes that doesn't get enough appreciation because people naturally focus on goals.
