I've mentioned that I've got my work cut out for me as the asset manager for the We Are Alive Tribe, not only because it's quite a formidable task in and of itself to build and grow a thriving decentralized community economy, but even more so because I, and we, need to do so within, and in the midst of, Hive's continually-declining economy. That's next level, y'all, and it certainly isn't easy, but I'm a committed, dedicated, determined, and tenacious bugger, so I readily accept the challenge.
How do we create a fourishing and robust 'We Are Alive Tribe' economy and financial system inside Hive's ever-weakening economy (the reasons for the weakening is a whole can of worms in itself)? That's the question that Ben and I are endeavoring to answer, by doing our best to make it happen in practical terms, one step at a time. From my perspective, a truly useful, valuable, dependable, reliable, and trustworthy token cannot be backed by only one other asset, as that creates a single point of failure. That's why Ben and I are working to create a far more solid foundation based on backing by multiple digital assets, both from on and off Hive, and physical assets, such as gold and silver.
Multiple off-chain digital and physical assets are the two most significant components of the equation in terms of creating more solid, stable, and consistent value for our tokens, ALIVE and HEARTBEAT, since they are not tied to Hive's economy. That's very important, because we can't depend on assets deriving and measuring their value from HIVE or HBD (which itself derives value, and is pegged to a declining fiat currency), though we do very much intend to invest much more deeply in the solid tokens of other allied communities and projects, to both support them, and to add another layer of backing to our own tokens.
This is also why it's a high priority to create some new diesel/liquidity pools for ALIVE, and to create pools for HEARTBEAT, that are paired with various off-chain-linked crypto assets like BTC, LTC, BCH, BLURT, SOL, MATIC, among others in time. With such pools, our tokens could be easily and quickly swapped for these off-chain-linked assets, and visa-versa, and it would allow liquidity providers to grow these assets, and their ALIVE, from pool fees. They would also help to further stabilize the prices of ALIVE and HEARTBEAT.
With this multi-pool and multi-asset price stabilization, it would be quite beneficial for other projects and communities to create pools paired with ALIVE and HEARTBEAT, as that would help to stabilize their own token prices, and to add greater use and value to their tokens. Allied communities and projects working together and collaborating is exactly what would allow for them all to thrive, even in the middle of Hive's ongoing decline. That's our intention and our goal, and for what we're working.
Yesterday, Thursday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by just after 2PM, giving my attention to some photography for my post first. Once I had that partly done, I focused on a few other small tasks, like doing a quick food-supply run to Tutu's, finding a hose of sufficient length to connect to the spigot next to the Landing (to water my nursery), and helping Ano to install some shelving in the new kitchen. I also made another batch of my special spiced-and-seasoned popcorn in the Landing, some of which I brought to Soozi, to help her celebrate her 75th birthday, along with Harmony and Trust, who each brought their own sweet gifts. After I finally bid my farewell, I headed to the Landing to heat myself up some leftover food that I had in the fridge, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hands, I made my way back to the Flow House to begin my evening Hive tasks. I had a whole bunch of notifications again, too many to get through in one night, so I stopped around 10:45PM, did some asset management, completed some system management on my laptop, and I finally went to bed just after 12AM. I woke up just before 7AM, having slept well, doing more asset management, going to make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just after 12:45PM, so it's an excellent time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before preparing for a session that's scheduled for 1:30PM. 2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
