The high degree of failure for Hive layer-2 projects and tokens, and along with it the disappearance of important infrastructure, like BeeSwap, has made my usually enjoyable asset-management and leveraging endeavors notably more challenging, and a fair bit more arduous. This, and the fact that multiple primary income streams have been lost quite recently, has made it so that I just do asset management much less frequently than I have up to this point. This holds true on my own account, and in my work for the We Are Alive Tribe.
With how quickly various layer-2 assets are losing value, often due to their managing projects ending, the lower frequency that I'm managing and keeping track of assets now due to the loss of efficient infrastructure such as BeeSwap, and to the loss of important income streams, like the SWAP.HIVE:PWR pool and the @bee.voter BEE-for-HIVE delegation service, I've come to the place where I'm finding it necessary to begin consolidating layer-2 tokens and liquidity pools, to focus my attention and energy on the most solid and significant iterations. Sadly, Hive Engine has become something of a graveyard of dead tokens and pools, so there's a lot of chaff to separate from the wheat.
Aside from always-necessary, infrastructure-essential assets like BEE, WORKERBEE, and BEED, successfully investing, and leveraging and growing assets and value over the long term requires knowing and tracking the backing project for each and every layer-2 token and pool in which we invest. That's one notable reason why I want to consolidate, because there are too many rapidly-changing parts to easily track.
There's currently a fair amount of value locked up in assorted diesel/liquidity pools and their tokens, both on my own account, and on 3 'We Are Alive Tribe' accounts, and there would be a notable amount of investment liquidity freed up, so a good token-and-pool purge and reallocation would likely have a strong beneficial impact. I still have to go through my, and our list of pools, to see which ones to cut.
Investing within the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem has been a bit of a shit show for a while now, but I'm a tenacious diehard, so I don't give up. I'll always find some way to advance and succeed. It just makes me sad to see so much potential squandered, which is exactly why I focus on the people and projects that are still committed, dedicated, and giving their all.
Yesterday, Wednesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, by just before 3PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts, and then to two separate land-work tasks. First, I collected logs from the edge of the forest to place around my poor variegated hala tree at the end of the second driveway (that not only had a huge dead tree fall on it, but which also got run over by a truck), to better protect and support its growth, and second, I dug another round of planting holes in the front orchard. Once those were both completed, I took a shower, heated myself up some food in Wabisabi, collected my leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, and I headed back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive tasks. I got through all of my notifications by just after 10:15PM, and after some much-needed asset management, and working with Hermes a bit more, I went to bed by about 12AM. I woke up just after 7:30AM, having slept reasonably well, going to prepare my superfood fire coffee in Wabisabi, then returning to the Flow House, to work with Hermes a bit more, and to write this post. It's now just before 1:30PM, so it's a marvelous time to wrap this up, so that I may attend to my few other important Hive-Blurt-'We Are Alive Tribe' tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on some photography for my posts, and then on jungle-community/land work and tasks. 2026 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
