Marriage was constituted by God for companionship. That was the primary purpose of marriage. He said that it was not good for man to be alone. God made a woman for the man. He created Eve for Adam to give him companionship. We are not going to be experience loneliness again. So, it is good for us to marry. Anyone can marry. Whether that person has not married before or whether he had married and the wife died, it is a good thing that we should get married. When someone has lost his partner, the person can remarried. To remarried is not a bad thing. There is no offense in remarrying if your spouse is late.
1 Timothy 5:9-11 (KJV) Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,
Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;
If a person can stay without marrying, he should stay but if he cannot stay, let him get married. Marrying will safe a person from sin. Those who refuse to marry and then engage themselves in sinful things are not pleasing God. There is no offense if someone who lost is partner intends to remarry. The Bible says that someone is only bound to the spouse when they are alive. There is no marriage after dead. Marriage is not effective when a person is dead.
