First day of vacation… well, “vacation” 😅

I told myself: great, I’m finally going to get some rest.
Yeah right… I was already awake at 5 a.m.
By 6, I was showered and dressed, and at 6:15 I was sitting at my usual café downstairs, just like every morning before work.

Except this time… I wasn’t leaving.
The owner looked at me, a bit confused, and asked:
— You don’t work anymore? 😂

Oh, I do… just temporarily off.
I’ve been put on forced leave by

occupational health after a workplace accident. They won’t let me go back, even for light duties.
Honestly, with my insurance I only lose one day of pay (waiting period), so it’s not too bad. I’ll find a way to make up for it 😉

So now I’ve got time… and no idea what to do with it.
This morning’s plan: deal with paperwork—drop off all the documents to my insurance and make sure nothing’s missing (we all know how that goes 😅).
Then I need to book an appointment with a specialist for X-rays and a check-up, just to see what’s really going on: fracture, sprain, displacement… or just pain from the impact.

We’ll see how it turns out.

But I’m definitely one of those people who still wakes up early even when they’re not working… and ends up getting bored during the day 😅
So I’m thinking about staying active—maybe swimming or trying some other activity. I know there are local programs and subsidies for sports, cultural activities, etc.
Might as well take advantage of it and keep myself busy!
