Greetings, Hive community! It's a pleasure to participate in the daily writing exercise proposed by @mariannewest and the @daily.prompt project, and its Spanish version, Spanish Freewrite, led by @latino.romano.
It's not a decoration

This isn't a decoration to me, my mom told me when I finally finished decorating the living room with the balloons she gave me. It was my younger brother's birthday, and my mom wanted to decorate the table and the back wall with lots of balloons.
She went to get the cake, and I stayed with my other siblings to decorate the space to surprise my little brother when he returned from the park with our dad.
But it turned out that by inflating the balloons, 4 of every five we inflated, they would pop. At the end of the 15 colorful balloons my mom gave me, I was only able to inflate 3; those were the ones I placed in the designated spot. 2 balloons on the table and one on the wall. The three balloons looked so funny.
There was nothing else I could do; the other balloons had popped. My mom arrived and, amazed, told us this isn't a decoration. We had to tell her that the other balloons had accidentally popped, and we were only able to inflate three.
So my little brother celebrated his birthday with a cake and three balloons as decorations. Although the decorations weren't too impressive, we always remember that birthday with great excitement and laughter. And from that moment on, I wasn't asked to make any more decorations.
