My friend @seattlea has been harvesting some very good sized home grown Tomatoes recently!👍
A bit further North, homegrown Tomatoes are difficult to find, but delicious sweet Corn is sold everywhere Lol!☺️
Silvertop grew up in the Midwest, in Cincinnati……….
Cincy, is known for some of the best “Silver queen” white corn in the country, it is extremely sweet and delicious !
Teenage Silvertop and several of his childhood friends, would carefully climb over, or through, the neighboring farmers barb wire fence, for large handfuls of ears of corn!😇
Extremely happy with ourselves, we would hurry back to my buddies home, to place our treasure in a large pot of boiling water!😊
That’s when my friends Mom walked into her kitchen to see what we were up to……….😇
Plates were already covered with melted very low calorie butter, and enough salt to preserve meat for the winter, when my friends Mom spoke up………
“Boy’s………. where did you get all that Corn?”🤔
I let my buddy speak up, after all she was HIS’S Mom!😮
“From the neighbors Corn field Mom!”😀
“You Boys do know that is “Cow Corn”!🙄
No one seemed to mind, for three hungry teenage boys it was delicious!🤗
“What’s for dinner tonight Liz, I sure have a craving for Corn!”😍
