I have read that about Coal burning underground for years ........somewhat scary!๐
I don't think that's the issue here, I think it's massive piles of tree debris piled up 20 feet deep.... just so much wood laying around to burn!!๐ณ
Ah, OK, I see. Yes, 20-foot high piles of trees and debris would definitely burn for a while too! It would be cool if you could cook with it! ๐๐๐โจ๐ค
I am also wondering, what kind of fuel they are using to get this fire started in pouring down rainโฆ.
All the wood is soaking wet!
I am suspecting diesel fuel, and probably a lot of it!๐ฎ
That's a good point, and you're probably right. Wet wood is not easy to light at all, so they'd definitely need some extra help! ๐๐๐โจ๐ค
Next time I get close by, Iโll try to watch and see what they useโฆ๐
I don't work with diesel much, so I don't even remember what it smells or looks like, would you be able to tell from a distance? ๐๐๐โจ๐ค
Iโve been trying to figure it outโฆโฆ
I canโt really tell from a distance, the fires are so intense!๐ณ
Hrmmm...well, it would probably be either gasoline, kerosene, or diesel, I imagine. I've got to say, this logging company doesn't seem very environmentally sensitive or aware! ๐๐๐โจ๐ค
I don't think they really care about environmental impact at all unfortunately...... they even clearcut wetlands!
