Give growth time

I have to squeeze in my time again this evening for another class. The body needs rest, but in entirety, we need and should and are prioritizing growth. it has been that long day in the office just trying to meet up and later to the church for a midweek service.

If you are to ask me, I TRY not to take God for granted and showing up in the fellowship of faith should be non-negotiable. Consider how the scenario would have been assuming I wasn't in a good health condition.

Ok, entrepreneurship would have had to halt, how about having a case in The Police station or courts? These are some of the few things one can escape being a victim of yet cares less. Ok, I am not saying we should save God out of just mere fears or exchange for only this kind of preservation; the simple truth is, ‘God deserves our ALL and our best’.

That said, let's move on. Talking of moving on, I had to halt this article just to meet up with the aforementioned meeting on Google Meet. Ok, we started 30 minutes behind time, an apology that was sent out by our expected facilitator because he got hooked up in the drive and secondly, he is not used to ‘Google Meet’ for meetings. Actually, according to him, this was his first time and I have to thank his team over there who just helped fix things within that elapsed 30 minutes.

In short, what just happened points back to yesterday's learning session that was focused on structures. Having the right team around really means a lot. As an entrepreneur, you don't actually need to know everything; just have people that know how to properly apply them; speed and efficiency bundled together.

Yesterday's session really challenged my stance as an entrepreneur and yes, I will have to improve on structures. Today was focused on branding and credibility. I can say we as a business have an insight and a hedge already here. One of the reasons a customer may not be able to return back to our service may be pricing but when it comes to quality delivery and standard, we can be echoed out afar.

I could remember one of our clients said he wished we had a branch in Abuja since he was relocating to the North. We were not even as big as this by then, just a four by four by four ceiling shop if not less yet we got those referrals.

Our limitations by then was poor pricing because it seemed we were tirelessly working like an elephant but eating like an ant. We later folded from there and took business to our NOW warehouse; what we did not let go was quality delivery.

We sieved our customer base in the process; the business model had to change from ‘how many customers do we have in numbering’ to ‘how efficient’ is our customer base. To grow a brand, you don't need customers, you need a unique set of customers. Those that respect your business, value quality and are ready to pay for it; these are customers.

To conclude, let me add, I think I will be doing a much indepth analysis on this last session maybe by tomorrow. The take home here is, branding sells your product and services very differently. As an entrepreneur, pitch your tent with a realised difference if you intend to go far.
