What better way to enjoy the winter sunshine, than to go cycling? So, after the very necessary shopping trip of the morning with family members, I had the chance to go.

The sun was already getting low when I left, but the sky was fairly clear so it was bright. The park looked marvellous in the conditions.

After negotiating a few tracks through woodland and cycle paths, I reached my turnaround point at the top of a short climb, where I stopped for a short break. The view is nice from here, especially with the low sun in the background.

I sensed that the daylight was fading so I soon headed back, taking a slightly different route to the main lake at Tilgate Park.

As always, the lake looked stunning with the low sun over the water. It is always worth just stopping here to take in the view and the peacefulness of this place!

So the ride length was a distance of 13.27 miles, taking 1 hour 30 minutes and a total accent of 227 meters. Just a shortish ride to maintain some fitness for the more lengthy rides beginning next spring hopefully! 😁
