It's mixed. Politically, we're fucked. Inflation, taxation, police state expansion, military adventurism... fucked.

But on the other hand, opportunities exist to subvert this system and live outside its clutches, at least to one degree or another.

        I'm pretty much right there, too.

        The world (or at least the USA) is pretty much fucked beyond repair. I fear living has pretty much gotten to the point where the only prudent approach is to try to skatebelow the radar.

        I feel mildly hopeful that we'll personally be able to do that and keep living and eating.
