I would say though that horror movies (as well as playable horror games) should be avoided, whether or not the person gets nightmares because of them. π±π€―π€ !HOPE !LOLZ
I do remember past events a lot, if I ever watch horror movies, I will be remembering those worst senerios and actions.
I don't dare watch them at all. Thank you for coming up here to check on me, I appreciate you!
It looks like you really prefer to watch comedic and/or educational movies !INDEED, so that what you would remember and !FUN and/or useful things. π !HOPE
Anyway, I replied directly to @cagolistic's comment, but I really appreciate your reply! π€ !PIZZA
Yes, I have restricted myself watching only those movies that can really impact on me. I learn everyday from everything. Thank you for your reply.
Some people would say !INDEED that good comedic movies are also educational. π§ββοΈπ€ !HOPE
Let's !HOPE that the educational films that you watch do not have even "tiny bits" of horror scenes! π€ !LOLZ
If I suddenly get to a horror scene..., I will change it to some other things.
I assume that you more precisely mean fast forward the current film, or if the horror scenes seems too long, you would move on to another educational and/or comedic movie altogether !INDEED. π !LOLZ
Yes, my friend loves to watch educational movies than the horror ones to avoid having nightmares. Another movies I love to watch is Zee world and discovery channel. They are very educative.
Thank you for stopping by.

Let's hope that those who love watching educational movies don't encounter even short segments of horror scenes on those movies !INDEED! π€ !ALIVE !WINEX !STRIDE !UNICOIN
You are correct. There is one that is causing serious online brouhaha in my country of origin.
A woman showed and shared her concerns over a short story of retaliation on one of the literature books given to her children at school and said she doesn't think it is right for pupil of that age to be taught how to revenge.
That single act is causing issues online .

The "brouhaha" word on your comment is valid but very uncommonly used !INDEED. π€― !WEIRD
Reviewers of books (especially books for children) need to be more careful about inspecting the content of the books that they review, so that no inappropriate content gets released. π§ββοΈ !HOPE !PIZZA

I read and listen to documentries a lot, especially political ones from my country of origin. Most often, the journalists and editors love using those creative words which are of great interest π to me.
Your "great interest" sounds great !INDEED, especially with the emoji inserted just after that phrase. π !ALIVE
Anyway, I think that you mean "documentaries" instead of documentries. π€ !WEIRD !HOPE
Exactly, but some individuals derive joy from watching them. Every one have their reasons.Imagine if it is completely avoided by everybody , those that make a living through it will be handicapped.
!LOLZ
I really doubt whether it really is "joy" that people derive when watching horror movies (or playing horror games) !INDEED. π§ββοΈπ€― !WEIRD !HOPE !PIZZA !ALIVE
Exactly π― but some people say they emjoy watching such movies. Your guess is as good as mine. People and the choices they make.

I think it is !INDEED possible to enjoy or have fun watching horror movies and/or playing horror games, but not (real) joy from them. π§ββοΈπ€― !WEIRD !HOPE !PIZZA
Hehe, I can't find it fun oo. I intentionally avoid horror movies. Ah no, I donβt engage with it at all. Even though if I meet people watching it in my house in the afternoon,I try to persuade them to switch to other channels. If they refuse, I leave them and engage with my phone.
But in the night, it's a no, no. You can't watch them in my house, the sound alone can change the environment to something else.

People say that jumpscares in horror movies (and games) are a "cheap" way (which is ineffective in the long term) to scare viewers (or players) !INDEED. π€ According to them, the best horror movies (and games) usually don't have jumpscares. π€ !HOPE !WEIRD !ALIVE
Humm, everyone may have their thoughts about it,but for me, just the sound of that horror movie is enough to put me off especially in the night π π€
I know of a child that runs away and clings to the mother once the horror sound is played even in local sounds during movies that deals with all these spiritual and chief priest settings.
At night, that child will begin to have high temperature .
That kind of thing can cause traumatic effect on the child.
Prevention is better than cure.

Horror films and games are surely not for (young) children !INDEED. π§ββοΈπ»π§ββοΈπ±π€―π€ !HOPE !WEIRD !PIZZA
