Oh no, that's quite a narrow waterway. As I can see, the houses doesn't look elevated. They'll suffer with the floodings too for sure in the future.

yeah you can see it too right.
Many people dont see this problem since right now is dry season.
But when raining season it will be flooded for sure
Maybe what they could gain/profit from the housing project is more important.
