I've always been a big fan of both! Robert Smith and The Cure were a game changer in the 80's musical scene. I was in high school when both of those songs came out, awesome music. Well written and intelligent. Pictures of You is my favorite of two there today!
Billy Idol is just awesome! He had that nice hard rock edge mixed with the alternative sound of the late 80's. Rebel Yell is one of my favorite songs, just so intense and raw! Great Saturday selections!

So good! Early Cure especially in my opinion! But I always like the lesser known early stuff with most bands. But the period from mid seventies punk in r toon to just a few years later with post punk & “new wave” it’s just such a great period. Most the legends started out as a punk band like The Cure & Joy Division & Siouxsie & The Banshees. Such a fast couple years to this grand new sound! So good!
Edit - I didn't know the Ramones opened for Billy in the eighties! & another eighties punk band I discuss often! So good!

The Head on the Door is when I first remember hearing them, Close to Me is a great song! Their earlier stuff is good too, but until the internet it was hard to find!
Killing Joke is put up there too!
But they are not everybody's taste.
