That's always the goal, but backups and redundancy are very good to have. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

Some people think of backups are unnecessary, until their system encounters a critical failure causing loss of data (or coins/tokens in the field of crypto). πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€―

I think there the distinction between backups (which refer to data itself) and redundancy (which refers to services) should be emphasized. πŸ€“

Hahaha...the only people that think that backups and redundancy are not important are those who haven't lost critical things from something going horribly awry.

Yes, perhaps, but it's all just backups and redundancy in one form or another. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

It is very likely that any person who has used their own desktop or mobile device for a few months has already experienced some sort of data loss, for which they wished they had copies somewhere of their (most) important files. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€“

That's why I regularly clone the SSDs that run my Arch/Artix Linux installations, so I don't lose anything important. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™
