Our last trip up to Flagstaff before we headed back to Spearfish so we trekked up Mars Mesa one last time until the autumn.
It was sunny with mild temperatures (and advantage of the 7000 altitude) and Lulu was iff and running on the wide open forest service road towards the mesa.
There's always plenty of active people up in Flagstaff and we had a good amount of company as we trekked steadily up the mesa. A little bit tiring with the altitude but since it was a hike the conditions weren't too tough.
It was great to hike the 4 miles one more time but we'll soon be up in beautiful South Dakota soon enough.
Finished with our customary Verde River walk late in the afternoon. Simply a relaxed time enjoying the cottonwood mosque before heading back home.
