@savvytester wants to know if a V4V wallet can be used as the Lightning Wallet for receiving #Nostr zaps, so that they can help assist @tydynrain in properly setting up an LN wallet for Nostr to start receiving zaps there. 🤯

I think that technically, someone could implement "zap on Hive" for tipping Bitcoin Lightning anywhere (particularly on posts and comments) by creating an app for it (either as a standalone app, or building on top of other platforms such as V4V). 🤓

Anyway, I wonder what would happen if you tried to send sats tosavvytester@v4v.app instead of savvytester@sats.4v4.app (if you haven't already). 😅

If it works, the @sats.v4v.app keeps the sats in the V4V wallet, while the @v4v.app sends them directly to your Hive wallet. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I'll ask @savvytester to put some sats on their V4V wallet to start testing (since they really love testing !INDEED), though with a low amount of HIVE (or HBD) to put there, they might lose a lot in fees, so they might not be able to test it right away. 🤓🤯😅

That sounds great, and also very appropriate. It uses the lightning network, which is designed to be able to send small amounts of sats. I look forward to hearing how it goes, whenever it is tested. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

@crrdlx tried to send sats from his custodial Lightning Wallet to @savvytester's (also) custodial V4V wallet which is savvytester@sats.v4v.app, but failed. 🤯 His attempt to send sats and his long comment there is appreciated. 🤗

@crrdlx explained on his long comment that "zaps" work only between Lightning Wallets that are linked to #Nostr "accounts". 🤯

At least, he tried to "zap" a "Hive Lightning" wallet (V4V) for @savvytester even if it is unlikely to be successful. 🤗

I think that the reason why your "zap" from #Nostr to @savvytester's V4V wallet failed is because the minimum invoice for the V4V Lightning payments is 250 sats according to an official post . 🤯 While paying an invoice is different from directly sending sats, we could assume that the V4V lightning node has also set the minimum of incoming sats as 250 too. 🤓 Perhaps @tydynrain is also interested in this fact! 😎 !HOPE !INDEED !WEIRD !PIZZA !ALIVE

@savvytester would soon test "zapping" #Nostr wallets directly from V4V, first starting at the minimum possible amount (1 sat), then a substantial amount but less than the minimum invoice amount (100 sats), then the minimum invoice amount (250 sats), and finally something higher (1,000 sats, to someone on Nostr that is also active here on Hive). 💸😎

@savvytester told me that they were finally able to send sats to a Lightning Wallet (which is normally used to receive zaps on #Nostr) !INDEED using V4V. 🤓 The better part is that they were able to do so without paying any fee! 😎 However, they haven't tested yet how much the fees would be if they send sats back to the V4V wallet though. 🤯😅

It looks like you are really interested in seeing how your #Nostr earnings would help you grow your Hive account faster. 😅 That's okay since whatever zaps you get on Nostr in general are voluntarily given to you, but it would be a good habit on Nostr to zap back to others about half of whatever got zapped to you. 🧘‍♂️🤗

I have never got V4V wallet to work for Zaps, I do not think it is correctly setup with Nostr Wallet Connect that you usually put into your favorite Nostr App.

I can recommend: https://rizful.com/

They run some large channels and setup with Nostr Wallect Connect is fast and easy.

Anyway, I think that @savvytester told me roughly a year ago something about you and Hive tipping tokens, but I can't remember exactly what. 🤯 Perhaps it was about you preferring not to tip and/or be tipped tokens? 😅

I'm pretty sure v4v.app does not use nwc at all. I think insaw that bruanof London is doing a total rewrite if the code also by the way. Maybe receiving sats will be easier then.
